I have a found a bet that has landed in each of Everton’s games this season, also happened in both the games between these two sides last season plus a further 19 of 38 games last season for the Toffees.
Step forward James Tarkowski. The centre back is integral to the Toffees as all set pieces are aimed towards him or his centre back partner. So far this season he has registered at least one shot at goal in all three games with three shots in the game against Spurs.
We all know what we are going to get from a Sean Dyche side. The ball will be in air as Everton try to get crosses into the box from free kicks, corners and set plays. The Toffees are averaging 17.67 crosses per fixture whilst no sides have hit more long balls than the Toffees. It will be a tough game for them at Villa Park and they might not see much of the ball so set pieces will be vital to them and therefore the execution of these will need to be spot on. I fully expect Tarkowski to be in the end of these.
